Dropbox has no problems importing my photos, but Photos does. I can see my iPhone connected, but I can't see any photos on my iPhone as you can see from this image: (The name 'Hold Me, Touch Me' is a reference to movie 'The Producers' with Zero Mostel.). As you can see, the name of my iPhone shows up, but not the 168 pictures on the phone. Connect your device to your computer, then turn the device on. You may be asked to unlock your device with a passcode or to trust the device. In the Image Capture app on your Mac, select the device in the Devices or Shared list. Click the Action button in the Image Capture toolbar. Click the “Connecting this device opens” pop-up menu, then choose Image Capture.

If Image Capture doesn’t open when you connect a scanner, camera, iOS device, iPadOS device, or other device with a camera to your Mac, you can set an option in Image Capture so that happens.

  1. Connect your device to your computer, then turn the device on.
